Thanksgiving at Squidward's
Squidward had decided to host a Thanksgiving dinner to show everyone how sophisticated and cultured he was.
"This year," Squidward announced at the Krusty Krab, "I'm cooking a proper Thanksgiving feast. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce - the works!"
"That sounds wonderful, Squidward!" SpongeBob said. "Can Patrick and I come?"
Squidward sighed. "I suppose. And Sandy and Mr. Krabs too. But everyone has to be on their best behavior!"
Thanksgiving Day arrived, and Squidward spent all morning preparing. He put the turkey in the oven and set the timer.
"This is going to be perfect," Squidward said proudly, arranging fancy place settings on his table.
His guests arrived right on time. SpongeBob brought a jellyfish jelly appetizer, Patrick brought a rock ("It's decorative!"), Sandy brought a pecan pie, and Mr. Krabs brought... himself.
"When do we eat?" Patrick asked immediately.
"Soon," Squidward said. "The turkey just needs a few more minutes."
But Squidward had gotten distracted showing Sandy his clarinet collection and forgot about the timer.
BEEP BEEP BEEP!
"Oh no! The turkey!" Squidward rushed to the kitchen.
He opened the oven and smoke poured out. The turkey was completely black and charred, practically smoking.
"MY TURKEY!" Squidward wailed. "It's ruined! Thanksgiving is ruined!"
Everyone gathered around the burnt turkey sadly.
"What are we going to eat now?" Mr. Krabs asked.
SpongeBob suddenly had an idea. "Wait! I know what we can do!"
He ran out the door and came back fifteen minutes later carrying a huge platter of Krabby Patties.
"Thanksgiving Krabby Patties!" SpongeBob announced. "I made them special with extra pickles and a little cranberry sauce on top!"
"Krabby Patties for Thanksgiving?" Squidward said doubtfully.
"Why not?" Sandy said. "It's not about what you eat - it's about being together!"
They all sat down at Squidward's fancy table and ate Krabby Patties. SpongeBob had even shaped them like little turkeys.
"These are actually pretty good," Squidward admitted, taking a bite.
"What are you thankful for, Squidward?" SpongeBob asked.
Squidward looked around at his friends - even though they drove him crazy most of the time. "I suppose... I'm thankful for neighbors who show up with dinner when I burn mine."
"I'm thankful for Krabby Patties!" Patrick said.
"I'm thankful for good friends!" SpongeBob added.
"I'm thankful for me money!" Mr. Krabs chimed in.
"And I'm thankful for y'all!" Sandy said with a smile.
As they finished their unconventional Thanksgiving dinner, Squidward realized something. It didn't matter that the turkey was burnt or that they were eating Krabby Patties instead of a fancy feast.
What mattered was sharing the day with friends.
"Same time next year?" SpongeBob asked hopefully.
"Maybe," Squidward said. "But next year, YOU'RE cooking the turkey."
Everyone laughed, and they spent the rest of the evening eating Sandy's pecan pie and being grateful for each other.
The End.
